Why I built this
In 2021, I bought an altcoin at $3 because someone on YouTube said "this is just the beginning."
It dropped to $0.40.
The influencer? Made money monthly through paid subscriptions and affiliate links — whether the market went up or down.
I made trades. I made mistakes. I followed hype because I had no other framework.
That's when I realized something obvious in hindsight: the market isn't charts. It's emotions. And emotions get manipulated for profit.
I wanted to build something that showed you when the crowd is gripped by greed — or paralyzed by fear — so you don't fall into the same trap I did.
Greedwatch is that tool. The one I wish I had in 2021.

What is this
Most crypto tools show numbers. Greedwatch shows temperature. Each coin gets a Greed score (1–100) based on real market data, then placed in one of five ocean zones — from the frenzied surface down to the cold, forgotten depths.

How to use it

Aggregate ocean index · leading indicators
The G-index is the market-cap weighted average greed across all tracked coins — a single number (1–100) for the ocean's overall temperature. From it, we derive several leading signals (full list in the guide) — for example:

5-day exponential moving average of G — smoothed trend, filters daily noise

G change over 7 days — acceleration or deceleration of market emotion
